Creating a Guest Portal guide
The Guest Portal is the digital guide your guests open from their phone: welcome message, information about the property, contacts, content sections, recommended places and weather. Let's see how to create one, how the preview works and what you'll find in the Settings tab.
Opening the section and creating a guide
From the menu go to Guest Portal: you'll see the list of guides, with the Total guides, Published and Drafts counters at the top. Each guide is a card with its status (Published / Draft), name, languages and last modified date.

To create one, click New guide and fill in:
- Guide name - for your own reference in the panel only, the guest doesn't see it (e.g. "Summer 2026 Guide").
- Primary language - the language you write the content in; you'll be able to add more in the editor.
Click Create guide: the editor opens. From the list you can also Edit, Duplicate or Delete a guide.
How the editor is organised
The editor has three columns:
- Sidebar (left) - the sections to fill in.
- Form (centre) - the fields of the selected section.
- Preview (right) - how the guide will look to the guest, in real time.
At the top you can edit the guide name (it saves itself) and, if the guide has more than one language, the Language bar appears so you can fill in or translate each field in the chosen language.

The sidebar contains six sections: Home screen and Design, Basic Information, Detailed Information, Recommended Places, Weather and Settings.
Home screen and Design
Here you set the appearance: the layout of the home screen (Spotlight, Horizon, Magazine, Business card), the hero photo (the large opening image, max 10 MB), the colours (primary, secondary, background), the fonts and the main button. With Suggest colours from the photo the AI proposes a palette based on the hero photo. Remember to Save design.

Basic Information
The title, the welcome message, the directions link (pre-filled from Google Maps if the property has coordinates), the Contacts (up to 10, each with a name and phone number) and the Additional buttons (up to 6, shortcuts with a label, icon and link). Contacts and buttons can be reordered by dragging.
Detailed Information (Sections and media)
The heart of the guide. You create content sections (up to 20) with a title, icon and formatted text, and you can add subsections (up to 10) and media (images or YouTube videos, up to 5 per section). Everything can be reordered by drag-and-drop and each section can be hidden with the eye icon.

Recommended Places
Suggest places to visit to the guest. You can add them from your saved places, search for them on Google Maps (by category or free search, with radius and map), or enter them manually. For each place you can customise the note, opening hours, tags and photo.
Weather
Enable the weather widget: choose the unit (°C/°F), the number of forecast days and other locations to show as tabs.
Field translations
With multiple languages, when you select a language other than the primary one in the Language bar, under each field you'll find the original text and the Translate button (with AI) for that field. A badge indicates whether the translation is Translated with AI or Edited; if the original text changes afterwards, the translation is flagged as outdated. Translations save themselves.
The preview
The right column always shows how the guide will look, updated with every change and in the selected language. At the top you have the Mobile / Desktop toggle. The preview is navigable: clicking takes you into the sub-views (section detail, places, etc.).

The "Settings" tab · what to click to see what
The Settings section (gear icon in the sidebar) is a single page with five blocks. On the right, instead of the preview, the guide's QR code appears (available only once published).

1. Access · protecting with a password
Decide whether the guide is Open to everyone or Password protected. Click Set password (or Change) to define one (minimum 6 characters); use Remove protection to remove it.
ℹ️ The password only becomes active after you republish the guide (Update publication). For security, the panel never shows the saved password.
2. Identity and URL · the public address
You set the Slug, i.e. the final part of the public link (e.g. summer-guide-2026). You can generate it from the name with Generate from name. Below you'll find the full public URL with the Copy link and Open in new tab buttons. If you change the slug, the old links keep working thanks to an automatic redirect.
3. Sharing · the QR code
You download the QR code to print at the property or send to the guest, in PNG, SVG or printable PDF format. The downloads are active only once the guide is published (otherwise the QR would point to a page that isn't online).
4. Languages and Publication · which languages go online
Choose, among the language pills, which languages to publish (the selection saves itself). Each pill shows whether the language is complete (✓ green) or has outdated translations (! yellow). From here you can launch bulk translations:
- Translate with AI - updates only the missing or changed fields, without touching manual corrections.
- Realign translations - retranslates everything from the original text (overwriting manual edits too).
The Translation statistics panel shows, for each language, how many fields are translated, missing, outdated or edited.
? Deselecting a language here does not delete its translations: it only means it won't be published.
5. Publication · putting the guide online
The last block shows the status (Draft / Published) and the buttons:
- Publish guide - puts it online and makes it accessible to guests from its link/QR.
- Update publication - applies to guests the changes made since the last publication (a yellow banner warns you when it's needed).
- Unpublish - takes it back offline.
- View preview - opens the actually published version in a new tab.
In the Publication history block you'll find all the published versions: you can Restore a previous version (a new publication is created, the history is never lost).
✅ Remember: changes to the content and password become visible to guests only after Publish / Update publication. Always use the preview to check before publishing.
