Mass SMS

What is it for?

The Mass SMS module allows sending SMS to groups of guests. It works like Mass Mailing, but with a 3-step wizard: Target → SMS Text → Summary; the campaign is saved as a draft at every step (and with the Save draft button). To access it, choose Mass Messaging → SMS from the side menu.

The list shows the Total campaigns, Scheduled, Sent and With errors counters; New campaign starts a new one.

Step 1 · Target

• Recipients: All contacts or a CRM Segment (selecting it shows the dropdown to choose one).
• Privacy / Consent: Only contacts with marketing consent (recommended, GDPR-compliant) or All contacts with a valid number.

Step 2 · SMS Text

• Campaign name: a recognisable, internal name. Required.
• SMS text: the message to send, in multiple languages with the tabs (IT, EN, FR, ES, DE) and automatic translation from the active language.
• Placeholders: data that changes per recipient (e.g. [[firstName]], [[lastName]], [[hotelName]]), inserted with the Insert buttons.

Step 3 · Summary and send

The system saves the draft and calculates the estimate: Estimated contacts, Credit needed and Available SMS credit. If the credit is insufficient or there are no recipients, a warning appears and sending stays blocked.

• Send preview: test SMS to a number (with international prefix).
• Schedule send: date and time in 15-minute steps; the send starts automatically.
• Send now: immediate send to all recipients, with confirmation.

The list features

Each campaign has a status and the actions depend on it: Draft (Edit, Duplicate, Delete), Scheduled (Duplicate, Cancel schedule, which brings it back to draft), Sent / Error (Duplicate).
